RAPE of the EARTH
The 2nd Series of paintings were inspired by an article in Time magazine entitled "Is Privacy Dead?" A chilling analysis on computers and surveillance by the USA government on its' citizens. 'When, or The Raping of the Planet Earth' was inspired by the Time article and that in turn inspired this second series of paintings. I was also inspired by a newspaper article.
These were painted in London in 1970 - 72. The paintings are 914 x 1219. The computer paintings are smaller at 610 x 914. The collage is 1676 x 1067mm.
